Jillian Pevo was named director of legislative affairs in August 2013. Pevo works to establish and maintain connections with members of Congress and their staff to promote NAFCU’s legislative initiatives. She monitors federal legislation and congressional activities and also provides legislative research and analysis to NAFCU and its members.
Pevo began her career at NAFCU in 2010 as associate director of legislative affairs and was named senior associate director in 2012.
Prior to joining NAFCU, Pevo served as a legislative assistant to Rep. Frank R. Wolf (R-Va.), the most senior member of the Virginia Delegation and a prominent member of the House Appropriations Committee. During her tenure with Rep. Wolf, Pevo worked on a diverse range of issues related to financial services, housing, and economic policy.
Pevo earned her master's degree in public administration from The George Washington University and her bachelor’s degree in political science at St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y.
During her time at St. John Fisher College, Pevo played college basketball. With a passion for the game, she still enjoys playing pick-up in D.C. with Hill staff and other lobbyists.
