Many credit unions have discovered, just in the past few years, that being recognized as a Low-Income Credit Union (LICU) provided new and untapped benefits, such as an exemption from the MBL cap. More recently, many LICUs are discovering another designation can provide even more opportunities for strategic growth: the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certification. Obtaining a CDFI designation can provide benefits such as grant funding, awards, and exclusion from certain rules, like the QM/ATR rule. This webinar will provide you with an overview of the certification process and specific examples of CDFI designation benefits.
